This matcha chia pudding is hands down my favorite chia pudding I’ve made to date.
The vanilla protein powder gives just enough sweetness, and with the fruit on top, it’s the right amount of sweetness for me.
FlavCity Protein Smoothie
I’ve tried so many protein powders over the years, but they all go through me so quickly, I may as well drink them while sitting on the toilet. So I was skeptical when Bobby came out with protein smoothies, but I absolutely love them. The only one that isn’t my favorite as a smoothie is the butter coffee – but if you love a strong coffee flavor, you will love it. I plan on making coffee brownies with the smoothie powder soon, so stay tuned for that!Â
I think the reason that it doesn’t upset my stomach is that they are made with undenatured whey protein (I had to ask Bobby what that was!). It basically means it is minimally processed, and all of his ingredients are organic, which is why the price is so much. But have you been to a Vitamin Shoppe lately? Some of the prices of products in there are $100 and up – and to me, this is worth the cost. I do have a standing discount code of Bizzy15 if you want to try any of his products out. Sadly, there are no returns at this time, so keep that in mind when purchasing.
I used the vegan protein smoothie in this recipe, but feel free to use your favorite vanilla protein powder.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 scoop FlavCity vegan vanilla cream protein smoothie
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened matcha
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup strawberries
- 1/4 cup pineapple
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a mason jar and place the lid on top and shake until combined.
- Place in refrigerator. One hour later, stir again, to fully dispurse the chia seeds.
- Let sit overnight.
- Top with fruit of choice – I used strawberries and pineapple
Notes
As of the date of this publication, this is 7 WW points on the regular plan, or 8 points on the WW diabetic plan. Click here for the WW link.
What aisle can you find chia seeds on?
It depends on the store, but at Mariano’s and Walmart, I find chia seeds on the baking aisle. You can also look on the rice/quinoa aisle too.
What is the chia seed to liquid ratio?
Typically, I use 3 tablespoons to 1 cup liquid. And that liquid can be anything to meet your dietary needs. Vegan or lactose intolerant? Use coconut milk. Can’t do any milk at all? Use water or juice.
What fruit topping did I use?
The strawberries and pineapple were looking a little sad this morning, so I made my very berry sauce – you can check out that recipe here. It added 1 WW point to my chia pudding.
