After trying every trick in the book to flip her breech baby, including a failed ECV, Elizabeth had a beautiful scheduled c-section. She and her husband navigated the challenges of IVF, gestational diabetes, and a breech baby. Elizabeth worked as a nurse anesthetist in the hospital where she delivered, and prior to that, worked there as a NICU nurse. She describes how surreal it feels to be the patient on the operating table instead of the provider in control at the head of the bed.
Elizabeth Brown Bio
Elizabeth lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her husband Kemper and daughter Emily. She currently works part time as a CRNA; guiding new and experienced mothers through cesarean births of their own. As a former Neonatal ICU nurse, she has always had a passion for growing families and the period surrounding pregnancy and birth. Current day, you might find Elizabeth chasing around her toddler, or cuddled up on the sofa with her two lap cats and a book.
