How peer support communities helped me manage diabetes » Hangry Woman®

Peer support has always been important to me – it was the first thing I looked for when I was diagnosed.

I can’t imagine where I’d be now, if someone else my age said “Hey! I’m here with you.” It would have changed everything.

Now with an app like Glucose Guide I get the benefits of connecting with others with type 2 diabetes, and being the person that says “I’m here with you!”

What is a peer support community?

Peer support communities are places where you can meet others going through the same things as you.

There are peer support communities for lots of different health concerns. People with diabetes have some of the strongest support systems online.

Why should I join a peer support community?

Many of us don’t want to feel alone. We want support from people who get us, and are living similar lives.

It makes a difference to feel heard, and be supported by someone who understands your day-to-day life.

Peer support communities can help you create a special bond with people who are just like you.

How do I join the Glucose Guide app?

It’s easy. Click here to download the app (it’s available on iOS and Android). From there, you can create a profile and start connecting with others.
